The primary purpose of

is to assist people who are visiting or living for any length of time in the
Manzanillo area or anywhere in Mexico by providing them
with the most up to date information available via
phone, FAX or online.

aids you when
you need any information regarding the area and
emergency service, for illness, legal matters,
immigration problems, Dual Citizenship,
Mexican Social Security Health Plan,. The list
goes on and on.

provides translation services and guidance for members
living away
from Canada and the U.S.A. The costs for these services
are provided by dues from Active Founders, Affiliates,
Members, voluntary contributions, and voluntary
contributions for services away from the
H E L P !
desk. Our Charter with the Mexican government permits us
to sponsor any type of social or recreational activity
anywhere in Mexico. There are many causes worthy of our
attention for everyone to get involved.

back you and guide you.
Twelve years ago we started the
“Christmas For The Children”
event which is included in our Charter. We have
entertained thousands of disadvantaged children from the
various barrios in the Manzanillo area, and we have
given them an unforgettable Christmas they would never
have had otherwise.

is able to achieve this task thru contributions from
member’s, non-member’s, and business organizations.
We also give our time and work free
to any charity or committee that belongs to our
Association at their request to help and educate the
poor and to promote their needs within both the foreign
community and our Mexican neighbors.
Manzanillo is becoming the new haven to get married or
renew your marriage nuptials.

affordable setting depending upon your needs, and we can
be there to translate your ceremony into English for
you.
Bonnie Sumlin, who donates her time, was elected General
Director of

because of her work within the foreign and Mexican
communities and because of her expertise and tenacity to
get things done!

a unique service to member’s not available from other
organizations in our area or in probably all of México.
We are non-profit and non-salary. Any member or
contributor will receive our newsletter, “As
The Palapa Spins”,
which
keeps you informed on new laws that concern us and
anything pertaining to our presence in the area or in
Mexico.

promotes
the Mexican Community. Also, we see that our members are
informed with the services at hand, regular or
emergency. Almost one-third of of membership belongs to
the Mexican Community!
The Association was named
HELP!
because we go
far beyond charitable causes. We respond to people who
need assistance.
We have members as far away as Guadalajara,
Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Melaque, Barra de Navidad, La
Manzanilla, Villa Obregon, Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo
Vallarta, El Tuito, Jocotepec, Jalisco,
San Pancho, Nayarit Baja, California, Catemaco,
Veracruz, México City, as well as Colima, Colima, Paris,
France, and the seat of the Association, Manzanillo,
Colima.
